E-Bike Volcano GPS Audio Tour - Day Rental 

STEP 1:  BOOK YOUR E-BIKE VOLCANO RENTAL ONLINE

Choose your tour date in the Booking Calendar, choose a bike size, then continue to add the various bike sizes to your order. When you are finished Complete your order and enter your billing information.  Submit your order.  Then the  booking system will email you a booking receipt and an electronic liability waiver to sign.

Please be advised that you will be charged a $50 deposit per person initially when you place your reservation then approximately 48 hours prior to your booking date the balance will be processed.

STEP 2:  DOWNLOAD THE GPS APP

You will receive an email with the link to the GPS Audio App to download prior to your rental date.  You can access our free turn-by-turn navigation GPS system by signing up for a free account using your email and creating a 4 digit or character password (please do not use google or facebook to sign up) then download the following app [PLEASE USE THE LINK, DO NOT DOWNLOAD DIRECTLY FROM THE APP STORE TO UNLOCK THE TOUR].  

STEP 3:  PICKUP YOUR E-BIKE AND PARK AT OUR VOLCANO HEADQUARTERS

Pickup location is  at Bike Volcano headquarters (located at 19-3972 Old Volcano Road in Volcano Village, behind the Lava Rock Cafe in the rear parking lot. Look for the Bike Rental Flags.  You will be instructed where to park your car.  Then,Pick-up your E-bike anytime between 10AM - 4PM ideally by 12PM, to allow suffcient time for you to leisurely explore the National Park and have lunch [Average GPS Tour Time = 4 hours].  A Driver's license and a credit card required for the $1500 equipment deposit per party.

STEP 4: EQUIPMENT ORIENTATION, SAFETY LECTURE, GPS AUDIO APP INSTRUCTION [approximately 15 - 20 minutes]

Our Staff will fit you with a Helmet and your reserved E-Bike Rental, have you take a Test Ride, give you an Equipment Orientation (instructions on how to operate your E-bike), go over the National Park Biking Rules, and Activate your GPS Audio Tour App.  It would be helpful if you download the link sent in the check-in instructions before you arrive to expedite this process.  In addition, our staff will point out places to eat in the Park so that you can have lunch during your tour.

STEP 5  TAKE THE GPS AUDIO E-BIKE VOLCANO TOUR

Enjoy the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.  Our Staff will be on duty to provide you with live Human Operator Assistance for Tour Support & Safety.  In case you have in questions on the GPS course directions.  

PLEASE DRESS APPROPRIATELY AND BE PREPARED FOR WET, WINDY, AND MISTY CONDITIONS. Temperatures at the Summit (4000' above sea level) sometimes range in the low 60's to upper 70's.  There are rainpochos available for purchase at the Kilauea General Store adjacent to our Volcano Shop and at the Visitor in the Park.

STEP 6 RETURN YOUR E-BIKE

Return to our Volcano Shop by 4PM.  Where we will say "A hui Hou", until we meet again.  Mahalo...

Bike Volcano Headquarters please see your Rental Contract for the designated return time (at closing time 4PM).  Please be advise that closing hours are subject to change.

CHANGES, CANCELLATIONS, & INCLEMENT WEATHER

BIKE VOLCANO ENFORCES A STRICT CANCELLATION POLICY {Please see below}. WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU PURCHASE TRAVEL INSURANCE FOR THE ULTIMATE PROTECTION FROM AIRLINE, FLIGHT and CRUISE SHIP PORT OF CALL CANCELLATION, MEDICAL EMERGENCIES, WEATHER, ETC.

– PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT YOUR FULL PAYMENT WILL BE PROCESSED WITHIN 48 HOURS OF YOUR RESERVATION DATE.  AS PER THE CANCELLATION POLICY THERE ARE NO REFUNDS WITHIN 48 HOURS OF YOUR RESERVATION DATE.

In Advance
Due to the popularity of our volcano bicycle rentals and tours we require a no less than 48-hour notice for schedule changes and cancellations – with the exception of the high demand rental dates (Tour dates Dec. 22nd – Jan. 2nd) (when a 2 week advanced notification is required for a 50% cancellation charge and 100% cancellation charge thereafter). For cancellations outside our high demand period and within 48 hours of a rental date there is a 100% cancellation charge. Cancellations are 100% refundable if we our notified BY EMAIL before 48 hours of the rental date.  FOR ALL CANCELLATIONS please email:  info@bikevolcano.coml and state the reason for your cancellation. All Sales Final for service rendered.

WEATHER
- Weather conditions in Volcano can be unpredictable. Occasionally, Madame Pele decides she’d like the Volcano to herself for the day, in which case if we have advanced knowledge of unsafe weather conditions before your reservation date we’ll notify you to reschedule your bicycle rental date. 

- - PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT WE DO NOT GIVE REFUNDS OR RAIN CHECK DUE TO RAINY WEATHER CONDITIONS.  PLEASE DRESS APPROPRIATELY AND BE PREPARED FOR WET, WINDY, AND MISTY CONDITIONS. Temperatures at the Summit (4000' above sea level) sometimes range in the low 60's to upper 70's.

-   Please be advised that we bike rain or shine.  Please dress appropriately. Bring extra layers in case of a change in weather conditions.  No refunds or rain checks.

- Bikevolcano.com does not issue refunds for “no shows”.

- Bikevolcano.com reserves the right to refuse service to customers who are disruptive, disrespectful, and disobey tour rules.

Cancellations due to inadequate rider skill/fitness/mobility

We understand that some of our guests may have not ridden a bike recently. We do not have control over the skills, mobility and/or fitness level of our customers, therefore we DO NOT offer refunds for not having adequate basic bike handling skills or fitness to be able to operate the bike.


Equipment & Damages
- I understand that Bike Volcano.com, Inc. (BV) requires a security equipment deposit of $1500/bicycle.  When a bicycle is returned, deposits made on credit/debit cards will be released within a period of time dependent upon the policy of the financial institution.  I understand and agree that in the event that the said bicycle(s)/equipment are damaged, to forfeit my security deposit and immediately pay BV the total cost to replace/repair bicycle(s)/equipment.  Bicycle damage/loss will be based on retail replacement costs plus shipping  that range from $1500 - $2000.  

- The cardholder agrees he/she will return the equipment for their party in the same good condition as when received, ordinary wear and tear expected, damaged or broken parts to pay BV for said equipment and labor. Therefore regardless of the party at fault, the cardholder understands and agrees to be responsible for the damage to said equipment including in the event of NON INTENTIONAL BICYCLE ACCIDENTS.

I have read and agree to the following Terms & Conditions: We have a 48 hour cancellation policy. We will refund you in full if you cancel your reservation 2 full days prior to pick up time on the first day of your reservation. If you fail to cancel outside of the 48 hour period you will not receive a refund. You must provide a credit card with matching photo ID and a working cell phone number which will be called BEFORE you leave the bike shop. If you do not have the credit card used for the online booking you will be asked to provide a new credit card with matching ID. A security deposit of $1500 per party will be held on your credit card and released within 24 hours once the bike is returned. Terms And Conditions

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Discover, and Mastercard) as a form of online payment. ONLINE RESERVATION are strongly recommended as our bike rental inventory is Live! Valid driver's license, credit card, active cell phone, and signed online waiver required with all rentals. Have fun, but please don't abuse our rentals because you are accountable for any damage to the equipment! 

PLEASE BE ADVISED ALL 2023 RENTALS AND TOUR WILL BE ASSESSED AN INSURANCE FEE OF $10 FOR EACH PERSON.  THIS AMOUNT WILL BE ADDED TO EACH RESERVATION REGARDLESS OF WHEN THE RESERVATION WAS PLACED. WE ARE FORCE TO PASS ON THIS INSURANCE PREMIUM INCREASE AS OUR CARRIER HAS INCREASED THEIR PRICES.

Ownership and use of the intellectual property. By agreeing to the Terms and Conditions, you agree not to share Bike Volcano.com, Inc.'s (Bike Volcano) Tour course, GPS Tour Map, or Audio Tour with anyone not attending the tour without Bike Volcano's permission.
